When I first heard about how Jamie arranged for miniature-horses to surprise Thea on their wedding day, I thought about how fun it was going to be. There's something so special about surprises. You get to see people in a pure state of joy when they're surprised. In this instance, it was joy mixed with tears. It truly showed how well one person knows another and how fulfilling it can be to make someone you love happy.
Clementine & Pablo (don't their names alone sound like the start of a great love story?) had a wedding day filled with so many wonderful details. While I've never really been the kind of girl that daydreams about her own wedding, Clementine & Pablo's gave me pause.
I instantly fell in love with the house that just felt so lived in. It was the kind of house where all the windows and doors stayed open so the music playing could float from room to room. Books filled the shelves and then overflowed off of them. Photographs covered the walls and read like a family tree. Add in Eileen, Clementine & Pablo's wedding coordinator from An Affair to Remember, who ran across the way to borrow eggs from the neighboring farm. Those eggs were used to coat the homemade empanadas that Pablo's family flew in with for the cocktail hour. You could feel the warmth of Clementine & Pablo's families through all of these elements. Then you had the small chapel, the relaxed, celebratory atmosphere, their wedding cake that casually hung out in the family's kitchen... The sum of all those intimate parts made such a special foundation for the start of Clementine & Pablo's married life.
